I am delighted to discover that I have been paired with The Helensburgh Oratorio Choir as part of The Adopt a Composer Scheme 2019/20. I can't wait to meet the choir and get started on writing the piece which will be premiered on the 31st May 2020.
This week, I was down in London for a skills building workshop with Sound and Music ahead of the collaboration beginning. The other composers on the project gave me some really fun ideas of compositional exercises and games to try out with the choir to get their creative juices flowing!
